Highway Design Introduction The Design Of Highways Is Perhaps The Only Element I
The design of highways is perhaps the only element in the entire highway development process. Throughout history, detailed highway design occurs when the process is continuing; hence, linking the preceding phase of planning phase and the development with the subsequent phases of right of way acquisition, construction, and eventually, maintenance. The main goal of this project is to design a highway from a given start point crossing Route 1-270 from the State Highway Administration. The team members need to design 8-Lane Highway/400 ft. median. As such, after determining the specific route, it will be necessary to establish the best alignment and this will be followed by further design.
